Established in 1958 as Republic Glass Corporation

and it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Asahi Glass Company (AGC) of Japan in 2001 and adapted the name AGC Flat Glass Philippines, Inc. (AGPH). In 2018, TQMP Glass Manufacturing Corp. acquired 100% of the AGPH shares thus becoming the torch bearer for the flat glass industry in the Philippines.

This was the time when we started our company. We had no idea how far we would go, we weren’t even sure that we would be able to survive for a few years. What drove us to start the company was the understanding that we could provide a service no one else was providing.

Joint Venture Company was established between Asahi Glass Co. Ltd. Of Japan (AGC) and Republic Glass Holdings Corp. The Philippine Float Glass Plant (F5) was registered with the Board of Investment on a pioneer status.

The 28-hectare manufacturing facility was declared a Philippine Economic Zone (PEZA)

The 28-hectare manufacturing facility was declared a Philippine Economic Zone (PEZA) Through presidential Proclamation 957. In the same year, AGP started commercial operation of the new Philippine Float Glass Plant with a rated capacity of 520 MT/Day

TQMP Glass Manufacturing Corp acquired 100% of the AGPH shares and now operates the Philippine Float Glass Plant under the name Pioneer Float Glass Manufacturing Inc. (PFGMI)
